Hi, I’m a student at the University of Western Ontario, and I’ve experienced firsthand the frustrations of subletting—whether it's struggling to find reliable tenants or dealing with unclear terms and complicated paperwork. That’s why I created Subletsy: a platform designed to help students like us navigate the often messy world of subletting with ease and confidence.

Having been the go-to agent for my friends who didn’t know how to sublet, I realized there was a better way to make the process smoother for everyone. Subletsy is here to make your subletting experience hassle-free. Whether you're looking for a place to stay or need to rent out your space, we’ve got the tools and resources to make it easy.

    Our platform transactions are secure and helped from Shopify payments. We handle everything, so you can focus on your studies or your next adventure. Shopify also provides a secure payment process.

  • Custom Sublet Agreements:

    Subletsy provides easy-to-use, legally binding sublet agreements that are automatically generated according to Ontario's legal standards, so you don’t need to spend hours worrying about the fine print. SignPanda helps enable digital signature and documenation history of sublet agreements.

    At Subletsy, we believe that knowledge is key to a successful subletting experience. That's why we offer comprehensive guidance and training to help you understand every step of the subletting process. Whether you're new to subletting or looking to improve your skills. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge you need to confidently manage your sublet, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone involved.

How does Subletsy make a profit?

Subletsy is committed to providing a transparent and student-friendly platform. We charge a total 8% fee on each successful rental transaction, which includes a 5% platform commission to maintain the platform, improve services, and ensure a smooth subletting experience, as well as a 3% payment processing fee that covers online Shopify fee transaction costs and goes directly to payment processors. By focusing on this single revenue stream, we keep Subletsy straightforward, affordable, and accessible for both tenants and sublettors.
